Those with a flair for adventure and the extreme can take advantage of what Queenstown has to offer with its SkyTower experiences including the SkyJump and SkyWalk - both of which get varying levels of adrenaline flowing! The SkyJump is one of New Zealand's most thrilling attractions and is similar to base jumping while attached to a wire; you'll fall at approximately 85 kilometres per hour for a duration of about eleven seconds and then come to a smooth landing in the plaza below - a literally unique experience in New Zealand. For a slightly less extreme, but still extremely high up, experience, the SkyWalk will see you edging your way around a 1.2m wide walkway at the top of the Sky Tower with no handrails between you and the drop below!
